William T. Traxler Dies After Illness; Rites Set Wednesday
William Thomas Traxler, aged 77, died at the family residence at Pelahatchie at 3 p.m. Tuesday after a lengthy illness.
A native of Smith county, he was a member of the Pelahatchie Masonic lodge No. 276 and Pine Grove Methodist church.
His wife passed away April 1.
Survivors include one son, Roy Traxler, Pelahatchie, three daughters, Mrs. M. A. Gray, Pelahatchie, Mrs. G. C. Lancaster, Mrs. J. E. Woods, both of Jackson; one brother, M. H. Traxler of Hopewell; one sister, Mrs. Rooba Pullen of Morton, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Concord Baptist church near Pelahatchie with Rev. Van W. Moulder of Lorena officiating.
Interment will be in the Concord cemetery, with the Baldwin funeral home in charge.
The remains will lie in state at the family residence until time for the services.
