LATE RITES FOR WILLIAM WAYNE WHITTINGTON

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 31 from Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty for William Wayne Whittington, 43, of Route 1, Liberty. Rev. H. L. Carraway officiated.

Mr. Whittington died Monday, August 29 at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville. He was born October 28, 1939 in Liberty, the son of the late Shelly Whittington and Mrs. T. C. Cox.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Harrington Whittington, and one daughter, Karen Whittington, both of Liberty; three sisters: Mrs. Ione Walsh and Mrs. Eloise Moore, both of Liberty and Mrs. Ercelle Cobb, Baton Rouge, La. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Interment was in New Hope Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
