*Vaughn's SSDI record gives his date of birth as 19 AUG 1901, which agrees with the age given in his obituary but is inconsistent with census records. He was listed as age 6 in the 1910 census, as age 15 in the 1920 census, and as age 24 in the 1930 census. These records suggest that he was born in 1903 or later.
