Willie Virginia Dark Ferguson

Jan. 17, 1905 - March 3, 2003

FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Willie Virginia Dark Ferguson, 98, of Clayton, who died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. today at Young's Funeral Home with the Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial will be in Ogden in Liddyville, La. under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday. Mrs. Ferguson was born Jan. 17, 1905, in Winn Parish. She was a homemaker and a member of Clayton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Dark; her mother, Cora Belinda Dark; one daughter, Blondell Whitehead; and her husband, S.C. Ferguson Sr.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Barron, both of Newnan, Ga.; two sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Ferguson, both of Oak Grove, La., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles David Ferguson, both of Clayton; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family requests memorials be made to Clayton First Baptist Church.
