WILLIE EMMONS
Willie Emmons, a life-long resident of Pleasant Hill, died at his home there Sunday after a short illness. He was 59.
His death came at 7:30 a.m. following a heart attack. Mr. Emmons, a truck driver, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill and of the Masons.
His funeral was held Monday at 3 p.m.; burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
He was survived by his widow, Mrs. Geneva Emmons, of Pleasant Hill; four children, Otis, of Mitchell, Earnest of Sulpha [sic Sulphur], Mrs. Florence Brown, of Shreveport, and Mrs. Dot Phillips, of Houston, Tex.; five brothers, Larry and Seth, of Kilgore, Tex., Clarence, of Vivian, Dewey, of Shreveport, and Walter, of Corpus Christi, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. R. Cooper, of Bossier City, Mrs. G. B. Dickerson, of Smackover, Ark., and Mrs. Nina Marter, Shreveport, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Druitt Funeral Home, Mansfield.
