Willie “Bill” B. Fletcher, Sr.
God saw that you were getting tired, do [sic so] He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
Retired from the maintenance industry and a native of Greenville, MS, he passed away Sunday, Sept 26, 2010 at 1 p.m. at his home in Erwinville. He was 88.
Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until of service at 10 a.m. conducted by family friend, Dickie LeJeune. Cremation will follow.
Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Annie “Faye” Williams Fletcher; six children, Jeni Work and husband Robert, Joey Pickens and wife Jenny, Rhonda Thibodeaux, Johnny Pickens Sr., Tommy Fletcher, Bill Fletcher and wife Sue; a brother, Freddy Fletcher; a sister, Zita Morris; grandchildren, Heidi Kennedy, Misty Vosburg, Joshua Work, Johnnie Pickens Jr., Chris Pickens, Jody Fletcher, Carolynn Fletcher, Willie B. Fletcher III; and numerous great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Vondell Beavers Fletcher; sister, Earline Borskey; brothers, EL and Lano Fletcher.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. Special thanks to Dickie LeJeune and the staff of Hospice Associates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Associates.
