Mrs. Willie Mae Hammons

Mrs. Willie Mae Hammons, 70, a resident of 2307 20th Ave., Gulfport, died at 3 a.m. Saturday at her residence.

She move to Gulfport from Little Rock, Ark. 35 years ago. She was a member of Burton Memorial United Methodist Church. She was born June 1, 1905 [sic 1904] at Long Pines in Rapid[e] Parrish [sic Parish], La.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Helen Simple [sic Semple] of Alexandria, La., and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at Riemann's Gulfport chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Frank Casey, pastor of the Burton Memorial United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Mark Liner, pastor of the Nazarine [sic Nazarene] Church, officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills.
