MRS. ALSON WARREN

Mrs. Alson (Willie) Warren, 79, Rt. 7, Laurel, died Tuesday morning at a Laurel hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Jasper County and had made her home with her daughter for about three years. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Rayburn Freeman and A. H. Weger officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Benton H. Matthews, Rt. 7, Laurel; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Burnell [sic Bernell] Warren of Laurel; three grandchildren: Allen and Lee Matthews and Jane Warren; and three great-grandchildren: William Wayne, Kathryn Ann and Thomas Allen Valentine.

Her only son, Burnell [sic Bernell] Warren, preceded her in death in 1966.

Pallbearers are Otis Matthews, Paul Taylor, Wayne Valentine, Jack Headrick, Kimble Clark and Mike Mapp.
