SUE BRYANT
Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Bryant, 79, of the Old Center Community in Panola County were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 1994 at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Barney Bryant and Rev. Rick Helson officiated. Interment followed in the Old Center cemetery. Mrs. Bryant died Thursday, March 31 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview after a lengthy illness.
Born on October 27, 1914 in Panola County, she was the daughter of Robert H. and Martha Ann Gomillian Twomey. Mrs. Bryant had moved back to Panola County in 1976, coming here from Shepherd, Texas, and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Carthage. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Bryant, who died on Sept. 1, 1986.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Pat Bryant of Lindale, Texas, and Barney and Sheran Bryant of Carthage; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nelwyn and Frank Davis of Trinity, Texas, and Bobbie and John Nunn of Coldspring, Texas; two brothers, Robert H. Twomey and Llel Twomey, both of the Old Center Community; one sister, Faye Peddy of Tenaha, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Bryant, Rob Twomey, Hank Twomey, Bob Peddy, Robert Holt and Ralph Funk.
Mrs. Bryant's nephews and nephews-in-law served as honorary pallbearers.
