W.B. Evans Dies; Rites Slated Today

Funeral services for W.B. “Trigger” Evans, 54, of 1009 Civic Street, Monroe, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe with the Rev. Ernest Holloway officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn.

He died unexpectedly in the St. Francis Hospital Friday night.

He was a native of Baskin and a resident of Monroe since 1936. He was associated with the J.C. Thomas Enterprises.

In addition to his widow, Mrs. Nina M. Evans of Monroe, he is survived by one son, Jake Evans of Monroe and two sisters, Mrs. O. B. Ricardo of Groves, Tex. and Mrs. Alice Jernigan of Baskin.

Pallbearers will be L.C. Collie, L.E. Pettit, Dr. C.B. Fold, Dr. Scott Strickland, Herman Lee and Bill Rasbury.
