Death Comes Thurs. To W. E. Ferguson, Oldtime Resident

Last Thursday marked the passing of W. E. Ferguson, 65, a Franklin parish resident all his life with the exception of the past two years, during which time he lived at Jamestown. It was at Jamestown that he died.

Services for the deceased were held at Coax church, with interment in the Coax cemetery. Rev. Dana Terry, of the Winnsboro Baptist church, officiated at the rites, assisted by Rev. Boyett.

Mr. Ferguson had been in bad health for several months.

He had been married twice. His first wife was Miss Mattie Howington, who bore him six girls, all six of whom are now living. His second wife was Miss Sadie McDonnell, and from his second marriage, Mr. Ferguson had three boys and four girls.

Besides his immediate family, the deceased is survived by two brothers and three sisters.
