Willis Lamar ``Pete'' Witherington
Willis Lamar ``Pete'' Witherington, aged 77, of Arkadelphia, a retired employee of the Pine Bluff Arsenal for 33 years, died Wednesday. He was a Baptist and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors are his wife, Frances Henson Witherington; a son, John Witherington of Arkadelphia; a daughter, Patsy Clark of Little Rock; a sister, Virginia Witherington of Arkadelphia, and four grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens by Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home.

ARKADELPHIA -- Willis Lamar ``Pete'' Witherington, 77, of Arkadelphia, died Wednesday at his home.
Born August 26, 1910, in Bradley County, he was a son of Willis Monroe and Nora Higgason Witherington.
He was a member of Central Baptist Church at Pine Bluff and a World War II veteran. He was a retired Civil Service employee for the Pine Bluff Arsenal, where he worked 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Henson Witherington; a son, John Witherington of Arkadelphia; a daughter, Patsy Clark of Little Rock; a sister, Virginia Witherington of Arkadelphia; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens of Arkadelphia with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating. Burial will be by Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
