WILLY EDWARD DAVIS

Willy Edward Davis, 52, Route 4, Laurel, died Saturday morning in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Tucker's Crossing Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Myrick Beulah Baptist Church, with the Revs. W. W. Allred, Arlis Brewer and Herbert L. Kimmon officiating. Burial will be in Myrick Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Merle Davis, Route 4, Laurel; five daughters, Mrs. Maryin H. Welborn, Miss Betty Davis, Miss Dorothy Davis, Laurel; Mrs. Louie T. Varner, Hattiesburg; Mrs. John T. Carter, New Orleans, La.; one son, James Edward Davis, San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Mack B. Parker, Laurel; four brothers, Elbert Davis, Laurel; Harold Davis, Jackson; Willard Davis, Memphis, Tenn.; Hilton Davis, Mobile, Ala.; and nine grandchildren.
