Dimmitt Man's Funeral Sunday

DIMMITT (Special) -- Wilmer Cook, 78, a retired peace officer and a longtime resident here, was found dead at 8 a.m. Friday at his home by his wife.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lee Street Baptist Church here with the pastor, the Rev. Bill Wadley, officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens. Dennis Funeral Home here is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Cleburne, Cook had worked here for both the Sheriff's Department and the Police Department prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Euna, two sons, Cliff of Dimmitt and Bob of Amarillo; and daughter, Mrs. Wanda Derrick of Dimmitt.
