Winfred Ray Hoob

Funeral services for Winfred Ray Hoob were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 1999 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Doyle Wesson and Jerald Paige.

Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Montgomery, LA.

Mr. Hoob, 73 of Winnfield, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Natchitoches, LA and was a carpenter. He was a member of the East Winnfield Baptist Church, Senior Friends and The Wellness Center. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Winnfield Post and was a US Army Veteran of World War II.

Survivors are: his wife, Lanell Mixon Hoob of Winnfield, LA; two daughters, Pat Samples of San Antonio, TX and Diane Blake of Bakersfield, LA; four stepsons, Marvin Hoob, Noah Hoob, Jr., David Hoob all of Houma, LA and Nicholas Desimone of San Bernardino, CA; two step- daughters, Ala Bragg of Tampa, FL and Patricia Horchler of Winnfield, LA; one brother, Freeman Hoob of Columbia, LA; two sisters, Vera Blaney of Deville, LA and Norma Milligan of Winnfield, LA; three half brothers, Houston Wall and Harmon Wall, both of Hargis, LA and H. C. Wall of Spokane, WA; 28 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Timy J. Authement, Bufford Blaney, John Blaney, Thomas J. Martin, Darrel G. Hoob, Jimmy D. Samples and Charles M. Lusco.
