Bass, Winifred Sue Cook

Winifred Sue Cook Bass, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 2 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, from Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was 67 and a resident of Walker. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. until service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Park in Denham Springs.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Delos L. ``Red'' Bass of Walker; daughter, Carol Bass Clark and fiancé Keith Callahan of Walker; son, Mark and wife Judy Bass of Walker; grandchildren, Angela, Ashley and Todd Clark; stepgrandchildren, Trey, Heather and Zachary Lambert; great-grandchildren, Brianne and Adrianne Boudreaux; sister, Rita and husband Gerald Scott of Terrell, Texas; brother, George Ellis and wife Eva Cook of Tomball, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Forest and Verna Cline Cook; a daughter, Cathy Elaine Bass; son, Roger Dale Bass; sister, Beverly Cook and brother, Curtis Cook.
