Winnie May Browning Slaughter
Winnie May Browning Slaughter, 86, of Florien, died at Sabine
Medical Center in Many, Oct. 8, 2001, at 10:45 p.m. She was a
member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church, where she was an active
member for many years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m., at Pine Grove
Baptist Church in Peason, with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel
Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Slaughter, and the Rev. Bobby Shirley
officiated.
Survivors include one son, Cloris Slaughter of Hicks; four
daughters, Gloria Camp of Weatherford, Texas, Judith Jones of
Peason, Linda Stipes of Clarmoore, Okla., and Rachel Cuevas of
San Carlos, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and
three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and
nephews; and a great deal of friends that loved and cherished her
dearly. We will always miss you mother and Grandmaw Slaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Slaughter;
daughter, Sharon Rose Chance; one son, Larry O'Neal Slaughter;
two grandsons, Trent Chance; and two grandsons, Trent Chance, and
Dale Jones.
