Services for Winnie Peters Crampton will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. William Smith officiating. Burial will be in Semmes Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Crampton, 83, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare in Meridian. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and was a member of the League of Women Voters and was a Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Crampton and her partner, Phil Gilchrist of Austin, Texas and Kay Crampton McQuinn and her husband, Chuck, of Seattle; sisters, Floye Harvour [sic Harbour] of Baker, La., Henrietta Jones and her husband, Elmer and Jane Smarr and her husband, Robert; grandsons, Garland and Luke McQuinn; a brother-in-law, Roy Crampton; special friends, the Brown family and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Crampton; her husband, Edward H. Crampton; siblings, Garland Peters, Blanchard Peters, Myrtis Peters, Clarice Peters, James Peters, Artie Peters and Faye Peters.
Pallbearers will be Dale Touchstone, Chuck McQuinn, Luke McQuinn, Phil Gilchrist, John Crampton and Jay Crampton.
Visitation will be Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.
