Winson Hatton [sic Hatten] Dies; Services Slated Thursday

Winson W. Hatten, 72, of 1310 N. 7th St., West Monroe, died Tuesday night at the Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of West Monroe with the Rev. Charles L. Davis officiating.

Burial will be in the Wright Cemetery in Sikes.

Mr. Hatten was a native of Sikes and a member of Peniel Baptist Church of West Monroe.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Miriam Kelly Hatten of West Monroe; two sons, Hershel Hatten of Sulphur; Jimmy R. Hatten of Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Harbour of San Antonio, Tex.; a brother, Wayne Hatten of Sikes, and two grandchildren.
