Woodrow (Woody) Haskins

Services for Mr. Woodrow (Woody) Haskins, 74, were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 1993, at the Wallace Baptist Church, with the Rev. Benny Alford officiating, assisted by Rev. Ralph Hines. Burial was held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Haskins died Tuesday, February 9, 1993, in Shreveport, after a brief illness. He was a resident of Pleasant Hill for 35 years, a member of the Wallace Baptist Church, a Shriner at the El Karubah Temple of Shreveport, and a 32nd degree mason at the Cedar Grove Lodge No. 403.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Amber Eason Haskins; and one grandson, Shad Haskins Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Emmons Haskins of Pleasant Hill, La.; three sons, Woodrow (Dub) Haskins of Bossier City, Gene Haskins of Greenwood, La., and Shad Haskins Sr. of Shreveport; stepsons, Tommy Bass of Marthaville, La., Steven Bass of Bossier City; one stepdaughter, Sheila Harkess of Belcher, La.; one brother, T. B. Haskins of Marthaville; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner Hospital in Shreveport.
