Woodrow Slaughter

Funeral services for Mr. Woodrow Slaughter were held Thursday, September 3, 1992, at 10 a.m., in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, with Elder Luther Despino officiating. Burial followed in the New Cedron Cemetery in Vowells Mill.

Mr. Slaughter, 74, of Vowells Mill died Wednesday, September 2, 1992, at 3:15 a.m., in the V.A. Medical Center in Shreveport.

He was a native of Vowells Mills, a WWII Army veteran, a retired farmer, and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys W. Slaughter of Vowells Mill; four sons, Steve Slaughter of Bossier City, Lovell Slaughter of Vowels Mill, Raymon Slaughter, and Herman Slaughter, both of Provencal; one step daughter, Linda Steele of Calvin; one brother, Taft Slaughter of Many; 16 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
