Wooten Eugene Summers

Funeral services for Wooten Eugene Summers, 78, of Baskin, were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Home.

Interment was in Reagan Cemetery near Baskin, with the Rev. Karl Huff and the Rev. Huey Bradford officiating.

A native of Baskin, he was born March 24, 1906. He was self-employed as a farmer. He died on Oct. 14, 1984, following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Summers, Baskin; one daughter, Janice Taylor, Baskin; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Lee and Mrs. Maude Martin, both of Baskin; four grandchildren, William Taylor, Jeffrey Taylor, Brad Taylor and Mrs. Ellen McKinley; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John Searcy, Billy Wright, Kenneth Martin, Sonny Dean, Charlie Olivo and Kermit Russell.
