MR. W. R. TAUNTON DIED TUESDAY NIGHT

Mr. W. R. Taunton, 75 years of age, died at his home four miles south-east of Butler Tuesday night about 10 o'clock, following an illness of several months' duration.

He was a most splendid gentleman, one of the old school, whose Southern courtliness permeated his every act. Although unassuming in manner, he was true to his ideals and maxims of life and was, therefore, highly esteemed by all who knew him.

The funeral service and interment were held at Bethlehem cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

B[e]sides one brother, Mr. B. M. C. Taunton, the deceased is survived by one daughter, Mrs. S. H. Harris, and four sons, Messrs. J. F., A. J., G. A. and Dock Taunton, all of this county.
