Wright Johnston

Funeral services for Wright Johnston, 73, were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest. Rev. Clifton Thornton was the officiating minister. Interment was made in the Salem Cemetery.

Johnston passed away on Monday at the Newton Hospital, following an extended illness.

He was a native of Louisiana, was a former resident of Mobile, Ala., but had been a resident of Route 1, Lake, most of his life. He was a retired State employee and was a member of the Goodhope Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lena Blair, Lake, and Mrs. T. G. (Ruth) Hollingsworth, Lake, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Guy Hollingsworth, James Johnston, Billy Cox, Andy Myers, Aubrey Rigby, and Terrell White.
