Funeral services for Phylonia Yoma Lawrence Cannon, 89, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2008 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Dub Massey will officiate. Interment to follow at Monroe Memorial Park Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Phylonia Yoma Lawrence Cannon was born January 11, 1919 in Franklin Parish and went to be with the Lord November 19, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. She married Crissler J. Cannon on November 19, 1936 and had 4 children. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, and most of all her grandchildren. Yoma accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was a member Oak Grove Baptist Church, she continued to be faithful to the Lord and prayed continuously. Yoma is preceded in death by her husband, Crissler J. Cannon, daughter, Gloria Ezell, son-in-law, Joel Ezell, great-great grandson, J. R. Ezell, grandson-in-law, Chris Winters, two brothers, and one sister.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Buddy Cannon and wife Faye, Joe Cannon and wife Virginia and one daughter, Phyllis Cannon Kerrigan and husband Mike. Also left to cherish memories include her sister, Doris ``Tootsie'' Trusty, and brother, Lloyd Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; Joy Ezell Eley and husband Billy, Jo-Jo Ezell and wife Wanda, Joey Cannon, Molly Cannon Winters, Steve Cannon, Danny Cannon and wife Amanda, Dawn Cannon, Summer Kerrigan Girod and husband Chad, Lance Kerrigan and wife Brittney; 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jo-Jo Ezell, Danny Cannon, Joey Cannon, Steve Cannon, Lance Kerrigan and Rob Pasero; Occupational Therapist and Special Friend Charles Gibson.

Honorary pallbearers will be C. J. Ezell and Caleb Winters.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
