Yvonne Parker

Funeral services for Mrs. Yvonne Crain Parker, 53, of Grayson, were at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home here with the Rev. T.O. Arrington officiating.

Burial was in Cross Roads Cemetery near Grayson.

Mrs. Parker was killed instantly Tuesday afternoon when the tractor she was operating overturned on her as she pulling her brother's truck from a bog. The incident occurred near her home in the Sardis community.

Mrs. Parker was a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Cas Crain of the old Ward 6 Community.

Survivors include her husband, T.L. “Pete” Parker of Grayson; one son, Lawrence Parker of Grayson; three daughters, Mrs. Linda Howard, Mrs. Kay Brockner and Mrs. Martha Samaniego, all of West Monroe; three brothers, Talmadge Crain and Rev. LaVelle Crain, both of Grayson, and R.C. Crain of West Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Velvon Hodges of Austin, Texas and Mrs. S.L. DeLeon of Leesville; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Nutt, James Grafton, Louie Dunn, Pete May, Larry Nelson and Charley Etheridge.
