Yvonne Jewell Ross

Funeral services for Yvonne Jewell Ross, 65, of Fort Necessity, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Interment was in Boeuf Prairie Cemetery, Fort Necessity, with the Rev. John Guyre officiating.

A native of Jackson Parish, she had lived in Franklin Parish for the past 59 years. She was retired from the Franklin Parish School Board, and was a member of Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church of Fort Necessity. She died on Friday, April 24, 1987, following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Ross Grivet, Fort Necessity; one grandson, Tony Grivet, Fort Necessity; one granddaughter, Rhonda Sharp, Fort Necessity; three great-grandchildren, Trey, Jessica and Kasey Sharp, Fort Necessity; two sisters, Mrs. Durelle Gray [sic Durelle Gary], Columbia and Mrs. Willie Mae Brown, Jonesboro; two brothers, Olin Jewell, Winnsboro and Gordon James, Bloomburg, Texas.

Pallbearers were Tommy Ross, Martin Walter, Henry Volentine, Edwin Ray Bryan, Jeffrey Brooks Moore, Jerry Seffens, Kenneth Barid and Bobby Walker.
