Zelma A. McDonald, 87, of Crossett died Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Beverly Healthcare of Crossett. She was born in Harrisonburg, LA, April 4, 1915, to Dan and Victoria Reeves Alexander. Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker and a charter member of Meridian Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. McDonald.
Survivors include one son, Clyde McDonald of Lake Village; one daughter, Mary Ann Davis and husband Frank of Crossett; four brothers, Daniel Alexander of Harrisonburg, Nolan Alexander of Ferriday, La., J.R. Alexander of Sicily Island, LA and Billy Wayne Alexander of Walker, LA; one sister, Inez Bertant of Sugarhill, GA; five grandchildren, Karen Robinson of Chattanooga, TN, Janet Pack, Chris Davis and Kenneth McDonald, all of Crossett, and Paul Davis of El Dorado; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at Meridian Baptist Church with the Revs. Glen Robertson, Ricky Pack and Jim Taylor officiating. Burial was at Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers were Paul Davis, Chris Davis, Ken McDonald and Jeremy McDaniel.
