Zelma Freeman Campbell
Services for Zelma Freeman Campbell 75, of Natchez were held Friday, Jan 4, at 2 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Tim Mahoney, Darrell Collins, and Norris Curry officiated. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Laird Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Campbell died Thursday, Jan. 3.
She was born March 14, 1915 in Meadville, daughter of the late Commodore and Lily McIntyre Freeman. She had lived in Natchez 48 years, was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church and was a former nurses aid at Jeff Davis Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, J. Clyde Campbell, of Natchez; one son, J. C. Campbell Jr. of Lancaster, Texas; three daughters, Alice Winters, Betty Holloway, and Doris Smith, all of Natchez; three brothers, C.D. Freeman, Jewell Ray Freeman, and Norman Freeman, all of Natchez; two sisters, Essie Taylor and Hazel Pellegren, both of Natchez; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
