Baker -- Nelson

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Baker of West Monroe, La., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lynn Baker, to Bradley Scott Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nelson of Bossier City, La.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ellis Baker, Mrs. Sammie Martin and the late Mr. Conny Guy Martin, all of West Monroe.

Brad is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie L. Scott, of Shreveport, La.

Jessica is a graduate of West Monroe High School and LSU Health and Science Center with a bachelor's degree in Cardiopulmonary Science. She is employed as an Area Sales Manager with Louisiana Homecare in Shreveport.

Brad is a graduate of Parkway High School and LSU Shreveport with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He is employed as a police officer with the Bossier City Police Department.

The couple will exchange vows May 16, 2009 on the beautiful beaches of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., with reception following in the Empire Room of the Ramada Beach Plaza Resort.
