CODY - BIGGS

Of affectionate interest to a wide circle of friends and relatives is the announcement made by Mr. and Mrs. Moses Biggs, Grayson, La., of the marriage of their daughter, Melva, to Corporal Claude C. Cody, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Cody, of Clarks, La.

The ceremony was quietly solemnized at 9:30 Sunday evening, July 5, at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Ira L. Yeager, Monroe. Rev. Yeager, uncle of the bride, officiated in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends.

The bride wore a sport model of pastel pink with accessories of navy and white.

Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Hearne were the attendants. Mrs. Hearne wore a becoming model of white eyelet embroidery, with accessories of white.

The bride is a graduate of Grayson High School. She attended Northeast Junior College in Monroe and later received a B.A. degree at Louisiana Polytechnic Institute in Ruston. She is now employed as a teacher in the Clarks High School.

The groom is a graduate of the Clarks High School. He entered Barksdale Field in April, 1941. He later graduated from the air corps technical school in airplane mechanics at Chanute Field, Rantoul, Il. He is again stationed at Barksdale Field as an airplane mechanic second class.

For the time being the couple will make their home in Shreveport.
