Roberson-Peppe Vows Exchanged in Home Rites
The marriage of Josephine Byrd Peppe and Fred Milton Roberson was solemnized Sunday at the home of the bride in the presence of the immediate families.
Rev. Fred Ward performed the ceremony at two thirty in the afternoon at an improvised altar before the fireplace, banked with pink and white dogwood, Sweetheart roses and spring flowers were used in other arrangements.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her son, Warren Byrd Peppe. She wore a dress and full length coat of seafoam imported linen. Bands of matching Venise lace marked at the hemline and elbow length sleeves of the coat. Her flowers were white orchids.
The bridegroom was attended by his two sons, Dr. Fred M. Roberson of Linden, Texas and Capt. John M. Roberson of Sherman, Texas.
Mrs. E. J. Byrd, mother of the bride, wore a dress of spring green silk shantung and a cymbidium orchid.
After a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Roberson will make their home in Mobile, Alabama until early summer when they will return to Camden.
