BULLOCK-CLOUD
A beautiful wedding was witnessed on Tuesday evening at 9 o'clock at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Cloud when their daughter, Miss Cora,
was married to Mr. Lummie Bullock of Steep Hollow.
Only relatives and a few intimate friends were present, but the sacred
occasion was beautifully environed, and the bridal vows were given
surrounded by an atmosphere of sincere and loving interest.
Bridal effects of white and green were observed in the decorations
which were entirely of bride roses and foliage plants.
The ceremony was performed in the library, where an improvised altar
was fashioned of palms and ferns, and at each side pedestals held crystal
vases tied with white maline and filled with bride buds. The marriage
ceremony was solemnly and impressively pronounced by Rev. C. C. Wheeler,
pastor of the Free Will Baptist church, and the vows were sealed with
the marriage ring.
Miss Sunshine Cole presided at the piano and furnished the bridal music.
The bride was handsomely gowned in a navy blue broadcloth with chiffon
blouse and accessories to harmonize. She carried an arm bouquet of
bride roses and lillies of the valley. Her only attendants were Misses
Leila Gilpin and Oliva Cloud.
Following the ceremony a reception was held, when an ice course was
served with angel cake.
The bride is a young lady of charming personality and is beloved by all
who know her for her sincere and gracious friendship.
Mr. Bullock is one of Steep Hollow's most prominent and trustworthy young
men, which has won for him a host of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Bullock will make their home at Steep Hollow, where they
keep house in a cottage just completed and furnished by the groom.
