Keen-Cody Vows Pledged In Double Ring Ceremony
Miss Wilma Dean Cody, daughter of Mrs. Ethel Brazil Cody of Olla, and Curtis Keen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Keen of Tullos, were married in an impressive home ceremony performed at eight o'clock in the evening, Saturday, January 9, in the home of the bride's mother. The Rev. L. M. King read the double ring ceremony.
A white arch entwined with white carnations and ivy formed an improvised altar.
Mrs. Frank Jones was soloist and sang “Because.”
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Jimmie Ray Cody, was wearing a navy suit with a white Juliet hat and carried a white orchid.
Miss Elizabeth McGee of Grayson served as maid of honor. She wore a blue dress with a white hat and corsage of white carnations.
Jackie Nelson served as best man.
The bride's mother chose for the occasion a navy suit with matching accessories and a corsage of white carnations.
A reception followed the wedding in the bride's home.
The couple departed on a wedding trip to Little Rock, Ark. after their reception.
Mr. Keen is stationed in Alaska. During his tour of duty, the bride will remain at her mother's home. She is a graduate of the LaSalle High School. The groom also graduated from LaSalle High School.
