Miss Cowart Is Bride Of Mr. Childers
Miss Marie Cowart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Cowart of Auburn, was married to Milton A. Childers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Childers, of Monroe, La., at 6:30 o'clock Saturday evening, Aug. 10, in the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. L. W. Ferrell, pastor of Griffith Memorial Baptist church.
Miss Doris Cowart of Jackson was maid of honor and the only attendant on the bride. She was attired in a stylish model of pink jersey with brown accessories and a halo of dwarf asters in her hair. Her corsage was of white asters.
Robert L. Nickey of Jackson was best man for the bridegroom.
The bride was exceptionally attractive in a white gabardine suit with black accessories and a halo of orange blossoms in her hair. Her corsage was of red rosebuds.
Mr. and Mrs. Childers left for a wedding trip to Baton Rouge, the bride wearing, for her traveling costume, a pink linen model with brown and white accessories. Upon their return, they will be at home in Jackson.
Mrs. Childers is a graduate of Independence High school and Draughon's Business college and is employed in the bookkeeping department at Kennington's. Mr. Childers graduated from Ouachita High school in Monroe. He is employed by the Capitol Dental Laboratory and is a member of the Jackson Y club.
