Society and Personal

In the presence of only their immediate relatives, Miss Eve Dube [sic Duby] and Shelley Mowell were married at 10:30 o'clock this morning in the St. John's Episcopal church. Baskets of Dorothy Perkins roses and snap dragons, in pink and white, furnished the decorations. Mrs. C. S. Morrison sang ``At Dawning'' just before the entrance of the bride and groom. Miss Marjorie Holcomb played the wedding march from Lohengrin on the pipe organ and, after the ceremony, Mendelssohn's wedding march. The bride, who was attended by her mother, Mrs. M. F. Dube [sic Duby], was dressed in her traveling suit of dark blue taffeta and carried Cecil Brunner roses. The groom was unattended. Rev. C. S. Morrison conducted the Episcopal ring service.

Mr. and Mrs. Mowell left immediately for a wedding trip to Portland and San Francisco and after September 10 will be at home at 111 West Seventeenth street.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Mowell have lived in Olympia for a number of years and are well known here. Mr. Mowell, who is the son of Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Mowell, is employed as cashier in the Capital National bank.
