CARRIZO SPRINGS -- The First Baptist Church was the setting for the marriage Aug. 3 of Miss Jo Ann Grisham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Grisham of Asherton, and James Shelton O'Banion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan O'Banion of Sweeny.

The Rev. D. L. Sinclair officiated at the double-ring ceremony, and Mrs. Max O'Banion was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. W. H. Gardner of Carrizo Springs.

Mrs. J. N. Scoggin attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Barbara Davis of San Marcos and Joella McMillan of Carrizo Springs.

Max O'Banion, brother of the bridegroom, of Sweeny, was best man. The groomsmen were J. N. Scoggin of Asherton and Lewis Gilcrease of Woodsboro. Ushers were Billy O'Banion of Sweeny and Charles Moorehead of Angleton, Galen Edward Savage and Irwin [sic Irving] Savage of Bay City.

A reception was held on the lawn at the home of the bride's parents. Assisting in serving were Mrs. J. B. Key, Misses Jerry Bryan, Chris Brite, Linda Cliett, Mrs. Sid Eller and Mrs. Ella Mae Wolfe of San Marcos. Mrs. Galen Savage was in charge of the bride's book.
