Conveyance Book K 158 in Catahoula Parish, LA
We the undersigned heirs and legal representatives of William Hawthorn
deceased formerly of the Parish of Catahoula Parish of Louisiana for
value received do by there present, sale, assign, and transfer to
Elizabeth Hawthorn, widow and relict of said William Hawthorn deceased,
all our right, title, interest, and claim in and to the tract of land
lying on the waters of Bushly Creek in said parish containing six hundred
and forty acres being a Spanish grant to Ruben Sackett and known as the
``Mill Place'' of said William Hawthorn deceased and the same occupied by
him at his decease. Our interest and shares to and in the said land
being collectively one undivided half of the same being half owned by
said decedent and denied to us as his heirs.
In forth whereof we hereunto truly subscribe our names in presence of the
undersigned witness this 24 day of October 1856.
