Herlevic, Weaver to marry Sept. 13

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Duane Herlevic of Monroe are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Elizabeth Herlevic, to Michael David Weaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Christopher Weaver of West Monroe and Mrs. Elizabeth Boutlier Coomer of Bowling Green, Ky.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Carolyn Graham Whitfield, Mr. Mark William Stroud Whitfield, Mrs. Maurine Jeter Herlevic, and the late Mr. Vinco Herlevic Jr., all of Monroe. She is a graduate of St. Frederick High School in Monroe and of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston where she received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is currently employed as a third-grade teacher at Little River Elementary School in Woodstock, Ga.

Her fiancé is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Barry L. Wiley of Rocky Branch, Mr. and Mrs. Guss T. Weaver of Shreveport, Mr. and Mrs. Verne M. Wright of Mobile, Ala., and Mr. Douglas T. Boutlier of Grand Cane. He is a graduate of West Monroe High School and of The University of Louisiana at Monroe where he received a bachelor of science degree in construction management. He is currently employed as a superintendent by Fortune Johnson General Contractors in Atlanta, Ga.

The couple will marry at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe. Father Mark Watson will officiate.
