Mr. and Mrs. Girlinghouse

Cynthia René Hoon and Tracy Jerrod Girlinghouse, both of Walker, were united in marriage in a 7 p.m. ceremony Feb. 16, 2007, at New Beginnings Baptist Mission in Walker. Justice of the Peace Lance Radley officiated at the double ring ceremony by candlelight.

The bride is the daughter of Travis and Emily Hoon of Denham Springs. The groom is the son of Judge and Mary Girlinghouse of Walker.

Decorations included red and silver accents, red roses, candlelight, and greenery, provided by Sandy Arnold of Clinton.

Soft romantic piano music was played by Violet Ellis of Walker.

The bride given in marriage by her parents and her daughter, Kayla Covington. She wore a champaigne lace party dress and a carried a bouquet of a half dozen silk red roses. Her hair and make-up was done by The Parlor in Watson. She was attended by maid of honor Kayla Covington, daughter of the bride. She wore a red satin party dress and carried a small bouquet of red and white silk roses.

The groom wore a black suit. He was attended by best man Judge Girlinghouse, Father of the Groom. The usher was Colby Rosenthal. They both wore black suits.

The mother of the bride wore a pink dress. The mother of the groom wore a black and red dress suit.

The bride is a graduate of Walker High School and is employed at the Continental Kennel Club. The groom is a graduate of Walker High School and is employed at Performance Medical.

The wedding cake was provided by by Anita Hoon. The groom's cake was provided by Sandy Arnold. Other food was provided by parents of the bride and groom. Flowers were provided by Penny Palmer. Photography was done by Gary and Robyn Alford.

Special guests were Lola Clark, grandmother of the bride, and Vera Chevallier, grandmother of the groom.

The couple will reside in Denham Springs.
