Engagement Is Announced
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Humphreys of Columbia Heights, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Kay, to John Manley, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Maney of Columbia.
The Rev. Cline D. Ellis will perform the ceremony on August 30, at six-thirty in the evening, in the Baptist Church in McGhee, Arkansas.
Mrs. Bobby J. Hall will serve her sister as matron of honor. Billy Tyron will serve as best man and the ushers will be Bobby J. Hall and Billy Bennett.

Miss Humphreys Is Bride Of John W. Manley
The Heights Methodist Church, of Columbia, was the scene August 30, at 6:30 o'clock of the wedding of Miss Sandra Kay Humphreys and John W. Manley, of Monroe. Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Humphreys and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Manley, all of Columbia.
The couple exchanged vows before a background of white gladioli and burning tapers garlanded with ivy and southern smilax. The Reverend Cline D. Ellis, of McGhee, Ark., officiated.
Mrs. Erby E. Meredith, organist, accompanied by Mrs. Clyde Ellis, the soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of Chantilly lace with fitted bodice outlined in seed pearls. The long sleeves finished in petal points over the hands. Her waltz length skirt of tulle was made over taffeta and her veil of illusion was attached to a tiara of pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis and white orchids on a white Bible.
Mrs. Robert J. Hall, of Shreveport, was her sister's matron of honor. She was dressed in shrimp pink crystaline over taffeta with cummerbund of the material ending in a bow at the back. She carried a nosegay of gold carnations.
Billy Tryon was best man and Robert J. Hall and William Bennett, ushers and candlelighters.
Mrs. Humphreys wore a toast colored linen dress with beige accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. The bridegroom's mother chose beige linen with pink accessories and a matching corsage.
A reception followed in the social room of the church. Large arrangements of white asters and ferns were used about the room for decorations. The bride's table, covered with a white cut work cloth, was centered with the wedding cake on a mirrored plateau surrounded by white blooms and greenery. Assisting in serving were Miss Christine Manley, sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. A. B. Faulk, aunt of the bride and Mrs. Walton Hixon her cousin. Mrs. Kenneth Humphries registered the guests.
When Mr. and Mrs. Manley left on their wedding trip to the Gulf Coast, the bride was wearing a suit of pink tweed with a small black hat and a shoulder corsage of orchids.
