Poole - Jennings
Joanna Lynn Jennings and Ashton Glynn Poole both of Shreveport, La. were united in marriage at seven o'clock in the evening on Saturday, December 16, 2006, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Shreveport. A reception was held immediately following at the Petroleum Club.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Joellyn Jennings of Monroe, La. and Mr. and Mrs. William Jennings of Barre, Vt. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James ``Bob'' Bazet of Morgan City, La. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John ``Coach'' Jennings of Rayville, La. The groom is the son of Ms. Glynna Poole of Shreveport, and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Poole of Coushatta, La. He is the grandson of Ms. Bertie Poole and the late Mr. Elisha Poole of Mansfield, La. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Glynn Manis of Bossier City, La.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory Italian satin gown with a full A-line silhouette and a scoop neck line with embroidered net cap sleeves. The bodice and skirt were embellished with platinum embroidery and Swarovski crystal beading that continued through the chapel length train. She carried a hand tied bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis.
Amanda Peeler served as maid of honor. Jessica Peeler Sisk served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Cheramie, Annie Kelly, Meghan Johnson, Mary Welch and Melissa Nurdin Toys. Paige Cheramie and Danlee Poole were flower girls.
Aaron Poole served as best man. Groomsmen were Jean-Luc Cheramie, Bryan Foster, Jonny Gates, David Huckaby, Richard King, and JT Toys. Ring bearers were Sean Cheramie and Jett King.
Joanna is a 2002 graduate of Ouachita Parish High School. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Northwestern State University in Shreveport. She will graduate in August. Ashton is a 1999 Graduate of C. E. Byrd High School. He is currently employed with the Bossier City Fire Department.
Following a honeymoon trip, the couple will make their home in Shreveport.
