Johns-Carr

PORT LAVACA -- Monica Tucker Johns and Keith LaRoy Carr, both of Port Lavaca, were married 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. William Swaim officiated over the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monty Tucker Jr. of Port Lavaca. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Carr of Port Lavaca.

Stace Johns attended her mother as maid of honor. Matron of honor was Sheila Mang, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Denise Carreon, sister of the bride, and Marie Carr.

The flower girl was Schyler Mang. Ringbearer was Travis Mang.

Bill Priest served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were James Carr and Jerry Carr, brothers of the groom.

Ushering guests were Montgomery Carreon, Jimmy Carr and Rodney Carr.

A reception, dinner and dance was held at Eagles Lodge in Port Lavaca.

Following wedding travel to Manzanillo, Mexico, the couple will reside in Port Lavaca.

The bride is a 1983 graduate of Calhoun High School in Port Lavaca. She is a graduate of Victoria College School of Vocational Nurses. She is employed by Memorial Medical Center as a licensed vocational nurse.

The groom is a 1973 graduate of Calhoun High School and attended Victoria College. He is employed by Cable Com of Port Lavaca and is owner of Services Unlimited certified locksmiths.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Vlasta and Monty Tucker Jr. and the late Sam and Rose Sullivan.
