PELL CITY -- Anith Ruth Jordan and Jeffrey William Hayes were united in marriage Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. G. W. Hayes and the Rev. Donnie Erwin-Brown officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The wedding music was presented by Nick Nixon, organist; Millie Ann Lawley, pianist; and Ginger Toxey, soloist.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Alvin Jordan of Pell City and Mr. and Mrs. Azor Kindrelle Hayes of Tuscaloosa.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of ivory slipper satin and re-embroidered alencon lace. The bodice featured an open portrait neckline, fitted basque bodice, long princess styled sleeves composed of alencon lace. The satin floor-length skirt had a centered inverted pleat and fell into a chapel-length train with a deep border of alencon lace. The bodice was beaded with seed pearls and iridescent sequins.
Her full illusion veil was held by an alencon lace headpiece accented with seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of lilies.
Stephanie Jordan of Pell City attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jody Jordan, sister of the bride, of Pell City, Mimi Jones of Birmingham and Cindy Hall of Atlanta, Ga. Allison Rogers of Lincoln was flower girl.
The attendants wore candlelight lace blouses with tea-length cranberry moire taffeta skirts and carried bouquets of alstroemeria lilies.
Mr. Hayes was his son's best man. Groomsmen were Ben Jordan, brother of the bride, of Pell City, Ralph Hymer of Birmingham, Edward Weed and John Gamble of Mobile and Robin Walker of Tuscaloosa.
A reception was held at the church. After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Birmingham.
