McGinty-McCain.
A very quiet but pretty home wedding was celebrated at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. McCain, of Ebenezer, La., on Tuesday, February 11, 1913, the contracting parties being Mr. H. R. McGinty, of Mesa, Arizona, and Miss Evalena McCain, Rev. J. W. Lee, of Wheeling, performed the ceremony that the happy pair one.
The bride was attired in a becoming white dress and the groom wore the regulation black suit. After hearty congratulations by relatives and friends present, light refreshments were served. Mr. McGinty and bride have gone to their home in Arizona, stopping over at places of interest on their route.
We congratulate Mr. McGinty on winning such a lovely girl, but our hearts go out in sympathy to the parents who are left alone in their declining age, Miss Eva being the last to leave the home-nest. We especially admired Mr. McCain doing the honors on the occasion in such a brave and soldierly manner. We are reminded that he is not only the brave soldier who wore the gray, but immortalized himself as one of the few legislators who refused to be bought at any price, when our beloved State was striving to throw off the yoke of the Louisiana Lottery.
A GUEST.
