MR. AND MRS. AARON DILL
Beautiful Ceremony Unites Wynona K. McNeil [and] Aaron Dill
The wedding of Miss Wynona Kay McNeil and Aaron Dill was solemnized April 25 in the Bethlehem Church of the Nazarene on the Laurel and Lake Como Road. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Berniece McNeil and the late Velmer McNeil of Route One, Moss, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dill of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Reverend Robert Bullock of the Picayune Baptist Church, a cousin of the bride, performed the double ring ceremony at eleven o'clock in the morning. Music was presented by Renda Brumeloe of Tuscaloosa and his twin sister, Mrs. Linda Miller. Vows were exchanged beneath a lattice work arbor overlaid with roses and foliage. Candelabra held gleaming white tapers, and baskets of gladioli completed the setting.
The bride entered the church with her brother, Shirley Ray McNeil. She was a picture of loveliness in her wedding gown of bridal satin designed with rounded neckline, fitted bodice and a long skirt featuring soft pleats and a chapel train. With this she wore a jacket of Chantiliy lace. Her veil of illusion was attached to a coronet of seed pearls, and her bouquet was a cascade of pink Sweetheart rose buds centered with a white orchid. The dress was designed and made by the bride.
The maid of honor. Miss Sadie Evans of Tuscaloosa, wore a street-length dress in a deep shade of pink penu de soie with a jacket of matching material. She carried a nosegay of rose colored rose buds and tulle. The bridesmaids, Miss Sandra Harless, Miss Patsy Dill of Tuscaloosa, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Charlotte Bullock of Route Three, Laurel, cousin of the bride, wore dresses made identical to that of the maid of honor. Their gowns were in a lighter shade of pink and their headdresses were bows of matching satin. They carried nosegays of shaded roses and tulle.
The flower girl, Jill Welborn, was attired in light green organdy with a full, embroidered skirt, and carried a basket filled with rose petals and flowers. Mr. Dill chose for his best man Wayne Webber of Tuscaloosa, and ushers included Tim Pitts of Route One, Moss, cousin of the bride; Nicky Bullock and Larry Long, cousin of the bride. Mrs. McNeil selected for her daughter's wedding a champagne brocaded cotton with waist, length jacket. She wore bone accessories, a light brown hat and a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Dill, mother of the bridegroom, wore a chic cocoa brown suit with matching accessories and a corsage of salmon colored rose buds.
A garden reception was held at the home of bride's aunt, Mrs. Rudolph Chancellor, where traditional wedding symbols predominated against a background of flowers. Miss Linda Sue Bryan presided at the guest register, while Miss Jimmy Smith and Miss Jolene Adams, a cousin, served the wedding cake. Fruit punch was served by another cousin, Miss Renee Bullock, and Miss Doris Dyess.
For their honeymoon trip, the bride changed into a white linen suit with beige hat and the orchid from her bouquet. After tossing her flowers to the waiting maids, she and her husband left in a shower of rice. They will make their home in Tuscaloosa, where Mr. Dill is employed and Mrs. Dili is a registered nurse.
