United in Matrimony

Kimberly Dawn Pridgen became the bride of James Donald Moore at 3 p.m. July 19, 2008, at Greater Laurel United Pentecostal Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Pridgen Jr. of Ellisville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vertis L. McCarty of Laurel and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Pridgen Sr.

The groom is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Donald Gene Moore of Laurel. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Ivy of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lovett of the Myrick community.

The Rev. Donald Gene Moore, father of the groom, performed the ceremony with Revs. Michael Zeigler and Andy Taylor assisting.

The sanctuary was decorated with beautiful flower arrangements consisting of roses, lillies, and gladiolas. White columns were used to display beautiful ferns. Palm trees also accented the sanctuary. White wisteria and ivy with miniature white lights filled the arch.

The bride, escorted by her father, chose a white mermaid-style gown which featured a metallic beaded lace bodice and trumpet skirt. She carried a formal bouquet of white and coral roses.

Lacie Speed, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kayla Moorer and Kimberly Kittrell, friends of the bride.

Marcus Moore, cousin of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Alex Jolly and Braxton Foster, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Jonathan Pridgen, brother of the bride, and Michael Moore, cousin of the groom.

AnnaLeigh Taylor and Jacob Taylor served as miniature bride and groom.

Abby-Grace Zeigler served as flower girl, and Leighton Zeigler served as bubble girl.

Medley Zeigler served at the guest registry.

The couple participated in a special sand ceremony which represented the blending of their lives together as one.

A dinner reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the Family Life Center. Shayla Coley and Doretha Zeigler assisted with the bride and groom's cake.

The bride is pursuing a career in nursing at Jones County Junior College. She is employed with Curves.

The groom is employed as a licensed practical nurse with Ellisville State School.

The couple enjoyed a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.
