Rotenberry-Burns

WOODSTOCK -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rotenberry announce the engagement of their daughter, Libby Gail, to Ronald Davis Burns Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Burns Sr. of West Blocton.

Miss Rotenberry is the granddaughter of Essie Kornegay of Woodstock and the late J.C. Kornegay and the late Robert Rotenberry, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tommy White of West Blocton. She graduated in May from West Blocton High, where she was general salutatorian, senior class president, president of the Anchor Club, editor of the school newspaper, member of the National Honor Society, and Senior Who's Who.

Mr. Burns is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Orman Burns of West Blocton, Etoyle Hicks and the late Howard Hicks of Indiantown, Fla. He is a 1979 graduate of West Blocton High School, where he played football for three years, received the most valuable offensive player award, was selected for Senior Who's Who and a B Club member.

The wedding is planned for 8 p.m. June 7 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Blocton.
