Miss Judith Smalley
After a short wedding trip, Nicholas Ellsworth Grivas and his bride, the former Miss Judith Elizabeth Smalley, who were married Saturday evening, will live at 805 Marycliff.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Irving Smalley, 1019 N. Winnetka, is a graduate of Austin College where she was a member of the A Capella Choir. She has attended the University of Texas and is a member of Theta Phi Delta.
Parents of the bridegroom, a senior at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, are Mr. and Mrs. Nick B. Grivas Jr. of Houston. He is a member of Phi Beta Pi and has attended Abilene Christian College and spent last summer as a student at Kings College Hospital in London, England.
The Rev. Edwin Walthall was officiant for the wedding ceremony in Wynnewood Presbyterian Church and Mr. Smalley gave his daughter in marriage.
The bride wore a formal length gown of silk peau de soie and Alencon lace. It was designed with a sheathe silhouette and a bouffant underskirt. The skirt extended into a cathedral train. The bride's veil of silk illusion fell in tiers from a crystal tiara.
Mrs. Eugene Denton from Fort Worth was matron of honor and Miss Nancy Nisbett of Wichita Falls was maid of honor. The bridegroom's father served as best man.
The bride was also attended by Miss Barbara Steele, Peggy Tucker and Nancy Tucker, and Mrs. Jimmy Arnold of Diana, bridesmaids. Groomsmen were Dr. Joe Robisheaux and Scott Grivas, both of Houston, Dr. David Karney, Dr. David Mullins and Dr. Bill Davis. Jimmy Tucker ushered.
