SOWELL-ARENDER

PLAINVIEW, June 4. (Special) -- Louise Sowell became the bride of Rev. Coley Arender Saturday night at the First Baptist Church with Rev. L. B. Reavis, pastor, and Rev. W. N. Clark, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating.

Jerry Faye Pennington lighted the candles, as ``At Dawning'' (Cadman) was sung by Frank R. Day with R. W. Cross accompanying at the organ. Mr. Cross played the nuptial music.

Briday [sic Bridal] attendants were Miss Mildred Floyd, maid of honor, Mrs. Carthal Niehaus, matron of honor, and Miss Jean Johnson and Miss Helen Sitton, bridesmaids. Leo Duffey of Littlefield served as best man. Groomsmen were Claude Arender of Magee, Miss., brother of the bridegroom; M. C. Pool of the Liberty Community, and Carthal Niehaus.

Mrs. Arender, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Sowell of Plainview, was graduated this spring from Wayland College.

Rev. Arender is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Arender of Magee, Miss., and is a senior in Wayland College where he is to finish at the end of the fall semester. He is pastor of the Longview Church, near Muleshoe.

After a week-end visit with Rev. and Mrs. Harvey Wolfe at Amarillo, Rev. and Mrs. Arender will return to Plainview to live.
